Financial Education + Budgeting + Credit Building Workshops for Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle.

Take control of your financial future and join us for free budgeting & credit building workshops sponsored by Access Community Credit Union.

These financial education events cover the importance of financial management, show how to build a budget, discuss the connection between credit and budgets, and provide free online resources so people can build their own personal or family budget & debt reduction plan.  We work with community groups and educators to provide classes and workshops that are targeted towards adults but can be adjusted to relate to students as well.  We would love to help you, your family, or people you work with take control of their money and build a strong financial future.

About

About The Program:

We offer both Lunch & Learn and evening workshops to accommodate community members and partners with different schedules.

Evening Session 1:  Discussion of what budgets are, how they work, why they work, and the basics of how to create a personal or family budget.  +  How to create a debt reduction plan that improves credit & focuses your spending on the right places.

Evening Session 2:  A step-by-step walk-through of how to use the Access Budget Builder online tools to create a budget and a debt reduction plan.

Lunch & Learn:  a condensed version of the two-part workshops that gives attendees enough information to get started.

Standard follow-up:  Attendees who opt-in will receive emails and/or phone calls to check on their progress, answer questions, and encourage them to keep working towards the goals they set in the online system.

Personal follow-up:  For attendees who complete the workshop and finish creating their budget using the online resources.  Personal follow up sessions with a certified credit union financial counselor will be available to provide additional guidance.
